Account Supervisor

SUMMARY:
The Account Supervisor is responsible for overall agency service and activities on one or more accounts, general (daily) supervision of account group personnel. The supervisor will also work towards building strong/lasting client relationship based on progress in achieving the clients’ marketing objectives with efficiency which results in profit for the agency..
             ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Effectively supervising accounts with the primary goal being the achievement of clients’ marketing objectives.
  • Ensuring that clear, comprehensive and concise work orders are submitted.
  • Assuming a leadership role in the preparation and conduct of account and client meetings.
  • Being alert for opportunities to grow accounts.
  • Supervising and effectively managing the production of client-approved marketing tools.
  • Ensuring the utilization of appropriate agency departments by account team, as required.
  • Ensuring that team members know, and are following, established agency account service procedures, i.e., maintenance of account files, approval process, maintenance of scrapbooks, status reports, etc.
  • Providing clients with – unsolicited – team-generated ideas on improving their business.
  • Efficiently and effectively interacting with appropriate agency executives and staff.
                         Education & Certification
                       4 year College degree required

                       KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of agency or allied communications industry experience that provides an understanding of advertising, marketing, media, creative, production, public relations, research, agency finance, etc.
  • Computer proficiency; Mac (preferred).
  • Financial management.
  • Interpersonal communication.
  • Personnel management – instruction/motivation.
  • Sales and presentation skills.
  • Full understanding of the principles of marketing, communications planning.
  • Verbal and written communications.
                       OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • The ability to demonstrate, evangelize and live the core values of the agency.
  • To incorporate the passion, excitement and experience of one’s MINOR in relevant ways that inform the quality and output of agencies deliverables.
